Please note we are closed for Bank Holiday on Monday 27th August 2018.  Practice policy for medication requests are 48 hours.  However we ask that you allow 72 hours for a Bank Holiday.  This will be beneficial to the dispensary team during the busy working period. 

We kindly ask that you do not request early medication as this will put a greater strain on the busy dispensary team. Thank you.

Online Consultations

We’ve changed our online consultation service which brings a number of benefits to patients including access on your phone and tablet, a more responsive questionnaire, and you can now also use online consultation for your children, or people you care for, which you couldn’t do previously.

Friends and Family Test (FFT)

The FFT is a feedback tool which offers patients of NHS-funded services the opportunity to provide feedback about the care and treatment they have received.

The FFT tool combines a simple question, asking patients how likely they would be to recommend the service they have received to their friends and family; with at least one complementary follow-up question to enable patients to provide further detail about their experience.

To provide your feedback, please click on the "Friends and Family Test" link on the right navigation pane under the "Have your say" section OR ask at reception for a form.

On Line Appointment Booking

We have a range of appointments that can be booked (or cancelled) on line. Please complete the necessary documentation available from reception.

To reduce the number of missed appointments we are now sending patients a text message containing their appointment details when a booking is made.

A further message will also be sent 48 hours before the appointment is due as a reminder.

Facebook

Please note: We do not have an official facebook page. This is something we are looking at developing in the future. The Hedon Group Practice (HGP) facebook pages which are currently on the internet, were not set up and are not managed by HGP. Anything on the unofficial facebook pages are not monitored by the Management or GPs at HGP.

Bank Holiday closures 2018/2019

Easter 2018

The surgery will be closed on Friday 30 March and Monday 2 April. The surgery will be open on Saturday 31 March 2018 between 8.30 am and 11.30 am for pre-booked appointments and collection of medication that has already been ordered. 

May 2018

The surgery will be closed on Monday 7 May and re-open (usual time) on Tuesday 8 May. The surgery will also be closed on Monday 28 May and re-open (usual time) on Tuesday 29 May.

August 2018

The surgery will be closed on Monday 27 August and re-open (usual time) on Tuesday 28 August.

Christmas 2018

The surgery will be closed on Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 December and re-open on Thursday 27 December (usual time).

New Years Day 2019

The surgery will be closed on Tuesday 1 January 2019 and re-open on (usual time) on Wednesday 2 January 2019.

 

Closure for Staff Training 2018

The practice will be closed for staff training from 12pm onward on Wednesday 25 April. We will re-open as usual the next day. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

When we are closed

For general health advice please contact the NHS Out of Hours Emergency and Urgent Care service on 111 to speak to a doctor or a nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor. You can also use the symptom checker at www.nhs.uk

Pharmacists can offer advice about a range of minor illnesses such as coughs and colds or diarrhoea and vomiting.

Details of pharmacies available out of hours and over holiday periods can be found in the Hull Daily Mail or online at www.eastridingofyorkshire.nhs.uk

 

If you have an urgent problem telephone 111. Your call will be answered by the Out of Hours Service and they will deal with your concerns.

East Riding of Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group are responsible for commissioning this service for our patients. Patients should be aware that some telephone calls may be recorded, for audit purposes 

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
