Exciting opportunity to join a new and innovative practice as a Partner or Salaried GP that will allow individualised career development

Church View Surgery, Hedon Group Practice and South Holderness Medical Practice came together on 1st October 2018 to form Holderness Health.

We aim to build on our existing strengths to develop a sustainable practice for the future. We want to retain core GP values, such as the doctor-patient relationship, in the ever changing world of Primary Care.

To help develop our services further we are looking for a GP Partner or Salaried GP. This is a unique opportunity for an individual to join a new and dynamic practice. General Practitioners will be encouraged to develop/enhance specialist interests whether that is clinical, teaching or management, but if an applicant wishes to spend their time in direct patient care, we also welcome this addition to our team.

We have the scale, diversity and breadth of skills within our large team to help you to develop your career, pursue areas of interest and take advantage of the opportunities we offer.

We are interested in both experienced GPs who might desire a career change and newly qualified GPs. For newly qualified GPs, mentoring will be provided to support you through the transition from the VTS.

We employ a diverse clinical team that includes nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physiotherapist ACP and paramedic ACP. We are the first Primary Care Home site in the East Riding and are committed to working with local partners. The practice has a number of leadership roles across the local NHS and has a proud history of innovation in education. We are a champion for associates in training and first 5 GPs for the Yorkshire and Humber clinical research network and are the most active research practice in the Hull and East Riding area.

We are now the largest practice in the East Riding of Yorkshire and we have significant ambitions for the future.  Our practice comprises:

  • Approximately 36,000 patients
  • A diverse clinical team incorporating a strong skill-mix
  • Over 120 staff 20 GP Partners
  • 3 main sites and 4 branch sitesPlease contact Lynne Bates on 01964 611621 or email lynnebates@nhs.net to discuss this opportunity with a GP Partner.

Experienced Physiotherapists who either already have enhanced skills or wish to develop them.

Do you want to assist in developing a new innovative Primary Care MSK service?

Excellent remuneration package available

The demands on General Practice are changing fast and as an innovative GP Practice we are further expanding our team to bring different professional healthcare roles and skills into our workforce. We are looking to appoint up to 2FTE Experienced Physiotherapists who already have enhanced skills or wish to develop them. These new posts will complement our existing Physiotherapy ACP who has already been supported through prescribing & injection training.

Holderness Health was formed on 1st October 2018 through a merger of Church View Surgery Hedon, Hedon Group Practice & South Holderness Medical Practice. We serve a population of 36000 patients over 7 sites. Holderness Health is committed to maintaining the best aspects of traditional primary care whilst looking to develop new innovative services which only a larger organisation can provide.

Our new MSK Service will provide first contact for MSK presentations in addition to expert advice for other clinicians. It is expected that the majority of MSK conditions will be managed in-house with the support of community physiotherapy and there will be a reduction in use of secondary care services.

This is an exciting time for our practice team and these roles will provide opportunity for significant career development. Successful applicants will be given support to develop enhanced roles. As a large training practice, with experience in developing ACP roles, we are committed to provide a supportive learning environment to all our committed team.
