Please note we are closed for Bank Holiday on Monday 27th August 2018.  Practice policy for medication requests are 48 hours.  However we ask that you allow 72 hours for a Bank Holiday.  This will be beneficial to the dispensary team during the busy working period. 

We kindly ask that you do not request early medication as this will put a greater strain on the busy dispensary team. Thank you.

Online Consultations

We’ve changed our online consultation service which brings a number of benefits to patients including access on your phone and tablet, a more responsive questionnaire, and you can now also use online consultation for your children, or people you care for, which you couldn’t do previously.

Friends and Family Test (FFT)

The FFT is a feedback tool which offers patients of NHS-funded services the opportunity to provide feedback about the care and treatment they have received.

The FFT tool combines a simple question, asking patients how likely they would be to recommend the service they have received to their friends and family; with at least one complementary follow-up question to enable patients to provide further detail about their experience.

To provide your feedback, please click on the "Friends and Family Test" link on the right navigation pane under the "Have your say" section OR ask at reception for a form.

On Line Appointment Booking

We have a range of appointments that can be booked (or cancelled) on line. Please complete the necessary documentation available from reception.

To reduce the number of missed appointments we are now sending patients a text message containing their appointment details when a booking is made.

A further message will also be sent 48 hours before the appointment is due as a reminder.

Facebook

Please note: We do not have an official facebook page. This is something we are looking at developing in the future. The Hedon Group Practice (HGP) facebook pages which are currently on the internet, were not set up and are not managed by HGP. Anything on the unofficial facebook pages are not monitored by the Management or GPs at HGP.

Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete a travel form (available from reception or to download below). This will include which countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

The nurse responsible for travel vaccinations will then check your records to determine which vaccinations are required, and whether antimalarial treatment is required.  Please contact the Surgery 14 days after you have sent in your form to check what our Nurse has recommended and to arrange an appointment if required.

Please ensure you complete your travel form well in advance of your planned date of travel as many vaccines require up to six weeks between doses.

Please be aware that some specialist vaccinations and all antimalarial treatment is not available on the NHS. You will be required to pay the full cost of treatment before these items are ordered.
